The short version
- Treat classmates, students, teachers and vendors the way you'd want to be treated — no bullying, harassment or hate speech, anywhere on the platform.
- Adults on the platform don't ask students to move a conversation off Slatify, or to send money or gifts outside the wallet system.
- Be honest in classes and the canteen — no cheating, no fake listings, no gaming the wallet.
- Report anything that worries you — a report is never held against you, and safety reports involving a child are always prioritized.
1 Who these guidelines cover
These Community Guidelines apply to every person and account on Slatify — students, teachers and content creators, parents and guardians, and canteen or till vendors — across every part of the app: Learning Pulse posts and comments, direct messages, voice notes and calls, classes and learning content, ratings and Q&A, and wallet or canteen transactions. Using Slatify means agreeing to follow them.
2 Core principles
- Respect first. Disagreement is fine; degradation, harassment and cruelty are not.
- Safety for minors is non‑negotiable. Where a rule could go either way, we resolve it in favor of protecting the students on the platform.
- Honesty and integrity. In academics, in the canteen, and in the wallet — Slatify only works if people can trust what they see.
- Inclusion. Slatify is for every student, teacher, family and vendor in a school community, regardless of background, identity or ability.
3 Learning Pulse & content
Learning Pulse is a school‑community feed for classwork, achievements, questions and campus life. Keep it that way:
Encouraged
- Academic discussion, study help, and questions on class content;
- Celebrating achievements — a good grade, a finished project, a team win;
- School life — clubs, events, announcements.
Never allowed, anywhere on Slatify
- Bullying, harassment, humiliation, or targeted mockery of any student, teacher or vendor;
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic;
- Sexual content involving, or directed at, a minor — reported immediately and without exception to the appropriate authorities;
- Threats or depictions of violence, or content promoting self‑harm or suicide (we will also route affected users to appropriate support resources where we can);
- Sharing someone else's personal information without their consent ("doxxing"), or impersonating another real person;
- Academic dishonesty content — leaked exam papers, paid cheating services, or contract‑cheating solicitations;
- Spam, scams, or coordinated fake engagement;
- Content promoting illegal activity.
4 Chat, voice notes & calls
- Keep conversations respectful — the same rules that apply to public posts apply to a private message.
- No unwanted contact: if someone asks you to stop messaging or calling them, stop. Persisting after that is harassment.
- Adults communicating with students — including teachers — are expected to keep conversations on‑platform, professional, and relevant to schoolwork or the class. An adult asking a student to move a conversation to a personal number, a private social account, or another app is a serious red flag and should be reported immediately.
- Do not use voice notes or calls to say something you wouldn't put in writing — harassment doesn't stop being harassment because it was spoken.
- Block and report are always available, on any conversation, any call, and any profile.
5 Classes & learning content
For teachers
- Publish accurate, age‑appropriate content for the class and level you're actually verified to teach;
- Only publish content you created or are licensed to share — no plagiarized lessons or pirated materials;
- Apply roster decisions (approve, deny, admit, remove) fairly and based on legitimate class criteria, not personal bias;
- Answer content Q&A honestly and respectfully, even when a question is challenging.
For students
- Participate honestly — quizzes and content purchases reflect your own learning and your own account;
- Keep Q&A and class discussion on‑topic and respectful;
- Don't share paid content or quiz answers outside the class you're enrolled in.
6 Wallet, purchases & the canteen
- No circumventing guardian controls. Don't ask another student, a vendor, or anyone else to move money outside the wallet system to get around a parent's spending decision.
- No fraud. Don't use a stolen or unauthorized payment method to fund a wallet, and don't file false disputes on legitimate purchases.
- Vendors list honestly. Canteen items must be listed at the price actually charged, with accurate names and availability — no bait‑and‑switch pricing.
- Vendors fulfill fairly. Serve every Slatify‑paying student the same way you'd serve a cash customer — no discrimination, no arbitrary refusal of a valid balance.
- Content creators price and describe content honestly — no misleading claims about what a piece of paid learning content actually contains.
- No off‑platform financial arrangements between an adult and a student — gifts, loans, or "special deals" outside the wallet system are not permitted and should be reported.
7 Extra protections for minors
Because most Slatify accounts belong to school‑age students, some rules apply with zero tolerance:
- No adult may solicit a private, off‑platform relationship with a student — this includes asking for personal contact details, meeting requests unrelated to legitimate school activity, or any romantic or sexual overture, however framed.
- Grooming red flags — excessive attention toward one student, requests for secrecy, gifts or money outside the wallet, attempts to isolate a student from guardians or peers — are treated as an immediate, high‑priority safety escalation, not a normal content‑moderation case.
- Any suspicion of child abuse, exploitation or endangerment is escalated to Trust & Safety leadership immediately and, where required by law, reported to the appropriate child‑protection or law‑enforcement authority — regardless of how the report reached us.
- We cooperate with legitimate law‑enforcement and child‑protection investigations to the extent required and permitted by law.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then report the account to us at
trust-and-safety@slatify.app so we can act on the platform.
8 The role of parents & guardians
Slatify gives guardians real oversight tools — a Guardian Audit Log, wallet visibility, and learning‑progress reporting — and we expect guardians to use them the way they're designed:
- Use linking, funding and approval tools for their intended purpose — supporting and protecting your child, not monitoring another adult or a child who isn't legitimately yours to oversee.
- Respect that oversight on Slatify is scoped by design (see the Privacy Policy) — attempting to circumvent that scope through harassment of Slatify staff, other users, or your child is not permitted.
- Report a concern about your child's safety the same way anyone else would — see Reporting a concern — rather than taking matters into your own hands on‑platform.
9 Reporting a concern
Every post, message, call, profile and transaction on Slatify can be reported directly from the app. You can also email us:
- General conduct, content or commerce concerns: trust-and-safety@slatify.app
- Urgent child‑safety concerns: the same address, marked "Urgent" — these are triaged first.
Reporting in good faith is never held against you, even if we determine no violation occurred. We do not disclose your identity as a reporter to the account you reported, except where required by law.
10 How we enforce these guidelines
Reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team, weighed against severity, intent, and whether a minor was affected. Outcomes scale accordingly:
| Severity | Example | Typical action |
| Low | Off‑topic spam, a single unkind comment | Content removal, a warning |
| Moderate | Repeated harassment, dishonest canteen listings, quiz cheating | Temporary feature restriction (posting, messaging, selling) or account suspension |
| Severe | Hate speech, fraud, doxxing, threats of violence | Account suspension or permanent ban |
| Critical | Any child‑safety violation — grooming, solicitation, sexual content involving a minor, credible threat of harm | Immediate permanent ban and, where required by law, referral to law enforcement or child‑protection authorities |
We may act on a violation even without a report, where we detect it through our own safety systems, and we may take interim action (such as a temporary restriction) while an investigation is ongoing.
11 Appeals
If action was taken on your account and you believe it was a mistake, you can appeal by emailing trust-and-safety@slatify.app with your account details and why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. Appeals are reviewed by someone who was not part of the original decision. Critical, child‑safety‑related bans are reviewed with particular care and may remain in place while a referral to an external authority is pending.
12 Updates to these guidelines
We may update these Guidelines as the platform and community evolve. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email ahead of taking effect, and this page's "Last updated" date will reflect the change.
